Mission statement

Aims & Objectives of Kingston Eco-op

Kingston Eco-op was launched in April 2009 and comprises a partnership between Kingston Community Furniture and Mind in Kingston.

We are a social enterprise scheme offering a range of different activities which aims to effect personal and social change by:

  • Reducing isolation
  • Increasing self confidence and esteem
  • Developing skills for self-help, mutual support and gaining qualifications
  • Educating and caring about the environment
  • Creating opportunities for employment

Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good physical and mental well-being for all and one that treats all types of people with experience of mental and physical distress fairly, positively, and with respect.

The needs and experiences of our service users drive our work and we make sure their voice is heard.

We provide our service users with information and support. In partnership with our local community services we also provide learning and employment opportunities.

We do this to make it possible for people who experience mental and physical distress to live full lives, and play their full part in society.

Values:

Integrity

Partnership
We are committed to working with our partners and all who will help us to achieve our mission.
