Volunteering at our project brings a lot of value to our work, providing more opportunities to spend more time with our community on a personal level, developing positive social interactions with members who really appreciate the care, attention, and support.

A Community focus

Working with our community to improve our members experience at the project, helping where needed and engaging socially. Volunteers in this role are encouraged to try a variety of our regular activities to find a good fit for skills and interests.

Skills you'll need

Attending on a regular day and time in the week will help you get the most from a volunteering role as you'll get to know the regular members who attend at this time, building trust and a positive social relationship

Community volunteers do not need any particular skills, experience of working with vulnerable people or children is useful but not essential. You will be part of the team to support the frontline staff who will take on the more challenging aspects of work in social care. There is no lone-working in this role. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for supporting those who are at risk of social isolation are all we ask.

You are welcome to contact us to visit the project to see if it is something you'd like to be part of. We can discuss our weekly timetable and find some activities that appeal to you.
